IMG_1567Dear Hikers:

Our hike this Sunday will be at the Little Bennett Regional Park.  We will meet at the Lewisdale Horse Trailer Parking Lot off Lewisdale Road (vehicle and horse trailer parking in meadow).  Direction from 270N is as follows:

Take exit 22 toward Hyattstown
Turn left onto MD-109 N/ Old Hundred Rd – 0.4 mi
Turn left onto MD-355 N/ N Frederick Rd – 0.6 mi
Turn right onto Green Valley Rd – 0.5 mi
Take the first right onto Lewisdale Rd – 2.3 mi
The parking lot is on your right.  Please note that if you reach Prices Distillery Road you have gone too far.

We will start on Lewisdale trail, continue on Browning Run, Western Piedmont, Loggers, back on Browning Run, and finally loop back on the Lewisdale trail to the Parking lot. It appears to be around 5 miles and taking about 3 hours.  According to the Park personnel the trails are fairly flat and easy to hike.
